In this tutorial students learn how to find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM) using Prime Factorization.  Students will also used the TI-84 to verify their results.

Sometime GFC is also referred to as GCD, Greatest Common Divisor.

The student will

a) determine common multiples and factors, including least common multiple and greatest common factor.

a) identify and describe the characteristics of prime and composite numbers; and

b) identify and describe the characteristics of even and odd numbers.
